# What are Experiences?

> Understand what an Experience means in PeekTag and how it fits inside real-life or business processes.

Experiences are interactive moments within a larger real-life or business process.

An Experience is not the whole system, the whole customer journey, or the entire operation. It is a specific moment where a person needs to **choose, try, ask, explore, decide, book, order, compare, or interact**.

For example, choosing and ordering food can be an Experience inside a restaurant process. Trying on an outfit can be an Experience inside a shopping process. Booking an appointment can be an Experience inside a salon or clinic process. Exploring a promotion can be an Experience inside a marketing process.

Some Experiences are personal. Some are business-driven. Some help people decide, compare, explore, book, buy, learn, or simply enjoy a moment.

They represent meaningful moments that people already go through in life.

In PeekTag, an Experience is the core unit that can be designed by Experience Designers, managed, updated, and reused.
